An assignment which I was asked to do. After the first initial cold feet moments. It all turned out to be quite fun. Getting along well with the person and making them comfortable is the key to get good natural photographs. That’s the lesson learnt from this shoot. All in all a wonderful experience.

Diwali is celebrated through India by all religions of all classes as the festival of lights. This Diwali lets celebrate it safely and please say no to crackers.

Many a times we tend to ignore small things in life. Things which we’ve always taken for granted…the small simple things of life which used to bring joy to us. Things which got lost in time…

Spotted this flower among brush during my last trip to the Himalayas and felt I am again getting reconnected to things which I had thought I had lost…the wilderness was back again…the feeling of freedom and back into nature. Once again!!! I’ve come a long way from how I had started photography but this time the trip was special. I found my old love back…my love for photography and nothing but the pure joy of it.

This pair of wild camel were drinking water near the reservoir. When we walked near they huddled together comforting eachother. It was as if one was telling the other that it’s ok don’t worry, I am here. People say animals… I say even they have emotions.

Camels usually travel in heaps to keep cool as the smaller the surface area relative to bulk, the less the heat lost or gained through the surface.

They can sweat to remove heat but the sweat is not seen. They can tolerate 25% weight loss (double the dehydration level in other mammals) without thickening of blood that would cause death in other mammals, as the blood plasma of camels is the last part to lose water.

They have enough tear glands and double rows of long, curled eyelashes to protect their eyes from blowing sand. They can close their noses by contraction of the circular muscle during sandstorms. The broad, padded toes are insulated to avoid the sand’ s heat. The strong, flexible web of the toes prevent them from sinking into the sand.

With so much we get in our daily life we fail to appreciate simple things in life. Water. Being a woman, many of them have to walk several kilometers daily just to fetch water for daily needs. Something we often waste and don’t appreciate. So much hard work and we are fighting for Women’s Rights. Think about it…

When all you can think is to play and have the power to enjoy every moment of the day with your pal. When you look around and find no restriction but joy…. that is when you find pure bliss. On our way back from the Radhangar Beach in Havelock, we saw these kids, diving, slushing, swishing away to glory, grappling in the mud and yet enjoying the pure bliss of the moment. I felt the loss of that long lost feeling, we have grown up but these kids were still living it. It was Pure Bliss.
